Product Service Systems

  1. I like this idea that these expensive tools can just be available to everyone living in these apartments, it really does add a new meaning to borrowing a tool from your neighbour. I can see this method as a new way to getting to know people from your apartment block and build a communal experience out of what is usually a very non-engaging experience. Your boards are minimal and efficiently convey their messages well. My only suggestion is perhaps the PSS can include a workspace for the people to use these tools.

  2. Your PSS definitely offers many benefits. It is ridiculous that everyone has to own a range of expensive tools which they may only ever actually have to use a number of times. In the situation intended, it makes a lot of sense to have a sharing system set up, to reduce unnecessary purchase and increase social interaction. I agree with what James said, that it could benefit from having somewhere to work, as most people wouldn't have an appropriate areas in their own apartment.

  3. tool sharing is definitely a good issue to be addressing as owning all these tools per household is a crazy amount of tools that are not being used where someone, literally next door could be using it. if i was to make one suggestion it would be that it does look like a industrial product for suburban areas possibly could have been a little more friendly :) over all good job on the project and your successful PSS
